Against All Odds

Now here is a remarkable story of inner fortitude and grace filled attitude. Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs but he has never let that stop him. Watch this video from CBS Sunday Morning you will see that the word invalid is utterly wrong for this young man who makes his life incredibly relevant on all levels.

Your Life is a Gift

Well, I am inspired. I just listened to an Awakening Zone interview that Sandie Sedgebeer held with Anita Moorjani earlier this year.

Anita was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She actually did die and hence the title of her book, “Dying to be Me” but she was offered the chance on the other side to return and she chose to do so. Her story is so compelling, her understanding so beautiful. I love that she says that in many of our various cultures we actually think that this life is only preparation for life in the hereafter and that heaven is only after death but she knows that is not true.  She says this is where we must achieve our state of joy, love, connection, and self-love.

Anita brings incredible insight to our confused state of being and doing. With her clarity born of her near death experience she shares the profound importance of all of our lives. She points out the subtle, incorruptible connectedness that we all live within. She shows us how naturally we relate to those who are actually on the other side. She stresses the importance of life in form and gives understanding of what life without form is.

I have read tons of books about NDE’s, past life stories, angel encounters and encounters with heaven and rarely have I heard such a clear, grounded and loving voice. I can’t wait to read her book. I welcome you to listen to her interview first if you want. Anita comes in about 1/3rd of the way through Sandie’s show.

Anita can be found at AnitaMoorjani.com.

Bruce Lipton on Enlightenment

Bruce Lipton on Enlightenment

I have to post this amazing interview between Jim Self and Bruce Lipton on Awakening Zone. Bruce Lipton explains how he came to the conclusion as a scientist that there is more than just the physical form and that we have another field of influence. He goes on to lay out the ascended thinking that moves from Newtonian physics to Quantum physics and demonstrates that we do create our reality and are not victims in this game of life.

I loved his explanation of how matter is made by elements that are off balance and thus make relationships with other elements that then become the stuff of our reality in order to find a sense of harmony. Then there are the noble gasses that are perfectly balanced and really don’t need to make relationships in order to feel whole but they do make relationships. They make them out of love and when they do this their excitement produces lazar light; enlightenment.

Bruce actually said, “Heaven is here”. Please listen.

Beyond Tolerance

Well this post has been boiling for a while.

I heard about an Iranian prisoner who was forced to dress like a Kurdish woman as an insult. Kurdish women protested and the next thing that happened was a spontaneous Facebook protest of many men dressing as Kurdish women in support of the women and the prisoner. Click here to read about it.

Finally today I see a Reddit post about a Sikh woman whose image was posted as a joke and  her brilliant response to the insult. Plus the apology of the one who posted the insult. See it here:

Clearly we are moving through a time of maturation and growing to understand each other a bit better. I thank the connectedness of the web for that. Keep it up everyone after all this is Heaven. Muriel GrabéPosted on Categories heaven is hereTags , , , ,

E Pluribus Crystal Flag

I decided to make a fun sparkly and colorful flag just to please my inner child. I have a tendency to get altogether too serious about everything and it was time to inject some fun into the process.

This flag is a departure from my project to honor diverse cultures but I’m happy to just celebrate the flag too on occasion.

O’er the country we watch all our new neighbors beaming.
And the freedom that’s here, people free with their prayer,
Give proof every year that E Pluribus we share.
Oh, say does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and diverse home we’ve made.

Abraham Hicks – Facebook is an Expansion of Source

How many times and under what circumstance do you experience bliss? The ancient Vedic texts refer to our natural state as SatChitAnanda – Being Consciousness and Bliss. So since bliss is the natural state of our being and consciousness why aren’t we in that state all the time? Here is a hint at how to get there without too much practice.

Welcome Parties

Riders in the North Station in Boston are greeted on their way to work by good samaritan cheerleaders. All this is part of an effort to lift the spirits of the general public. In an effort to combat suicide a non profit group – Samaritans started a social experiment to connect people. The premise ‘if you make your voice heard, Boston will be a happier place”.

Something is definitely happening. They were on the Today show this morning and the blogosphere is full of posts about the phenomenon of friendliness this had started.

Many times when I step into the NYC subway I have the urge to shout, “Good Morning, everyone, have a great day” but I restrain myself. How much better would New York be too if we all greeted each other, smiled, said hello or just nodded?

I think the most important thing is to feel connected, acknowledged and respected. So here goes, next time I get in the train I hope I have the courage to say it.

Relax Every Body

Image

Yes, it seems absolutely nuts right now doesn’t it? However it’s time to relax, look inside, examine how does all this political and religious fervor really affect me personally, now, in this moment? Does it really affect me that people are going nuts over a fringy “movie”? Does it really affect me that Romney or Obama say this or that?

The truth is that our own inner state is the most important thing that there is. It is not out there in the world but right inside. All this stuff is happening to heighten our awareness of what is real and what is unreal. I understand that we can project our feelings and be compassionate about pain of others or outraged about injustices – that’s what makes us human, we are social. However, you cannot save a man drowning in a whirlpool by jumping in yourself unless you are tethered to something grounding and stable. Find that ground inside – it is there. It is in the breath, in the high heart, in witness consciousness just behind the eyes.

Specific tools are breathe. If you feel panicked take a deep breath. The state of the mind is directly tethered to the breath. You cannot make good decisions when you can’t breath or think.

Find the still space within. Shift your attention from your head to your heart. Sort of look into your heart or the top back of your heart. It is a haven of rest, and grace. Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, India said, “The heart is the hub of all places; go there and roam”. It is a delicious safe space. You can do this anywhere, anytime.

Be in witness consciousness. Imagine that you looking through a window and watching your life moments unfold. Watch the mind’s commentary but refrain from engaging in it. Be amused by it. You will notice much about yourself and the management of your own state of being.

Finally, as Jim Self of Mastering Alchemy says, “Be happy, content, capable.”All this works, I know it, I have been practicing for years.”
