OUR FLAG – Restitch the Untied States
Our Flag – Restitch The Untied States invites visitors to repair a portion of a massive, torn US flag while dedicating their action as an intention for recreating coherence and harmony among all US citizens. Also included are her diverse US flags. As an immigrant, Muriel honors all immigrant contributions to the richness of life in the United States. Since 2003, her unique flags that respectfully celebrate the diverse cultures within the United States have been a focus of her work. Recent works include oil portraits of the artist’s friends featuring elements expressing the subject’s cultural heritage. Find out more at ChaShaMa.org
